Perfect Gray⎪ZOYA "DOVE"

I blogged about a gray nail polish I thought was the perfect shade, but after awhile I came to the conclusion that the Dior Nail Polish in the shade 306 "Gris Trianon" was too dark for my like (and Dior nail polishes are just not worth it). Since then, I would cruise through Essie, Deborah Lippmann, and Butter London to look for that perfect shade of gray. Not too dark, not too light... not the tan kind of gray, not the bone colored gray... I wanted the gray like the gray of an iMac laptop. You know?

So after searching on a bunch of google images under "gray nail polishes" I decided to try the Zoya shade in "Dove".

I loved it so much and it truly is that true gray that I decided to devote a whole blogpost on it! I'm sure there are gals out there who are searching for something like this so I thought I'd let you know :)

Shampoo Worth Blogging⎪Clear Scalp & Hair

I don't ever find the urge to blog about shampoos. I've always used drugstore products, some expensive ones too, but nothing was too spectacular. But for the past few months, I've been reaching for the same shampoo after finishing each bottle. That is the Clear Scalp and Hair shampoo.

I used to have horrible dandruff problems. I've tried the famous Head & Shoulders, but that didn't do much. I used organic shampoos and other recommended ones. Nothing really helped.

But I came across this shampoo after reading Into The Gloss's blogpost on Miranda Kerr. She's the cover girl for this hair brand, and I don't know,  her little snippet on why she loves this product sold me.

I wanted something that would clarify my scalp but not dry up the ends of my hair. I know most of the clarifying detox shampoos are recommended only for the scalp, but what a pain is that! Some of them don't even foam well, and it's all just a fuss. But this shampoo was promising a clear scalp and healthy hair.

After the first use, I knew I was pretty sold. Significantly less dandruff and my roots were... well, alive. My scalp felt so clean but my hair was so soft at the same time!

Now it's a staple hair product for me, and a constant repurchase. I particularly like the Volumizing Root Boost line.

Tom Ford lipstick⎪Spanish Pink

from http://instagram.com/etherealellie

Tom Ford lipsticks. What a treat! I made sure that my second Tom Ford lipstick purchase was actually a shade I could wear everyday. I've stood by the Tom Ford counter multiple times, trying on all their shades. I grew a loving for the shade Spanish Pink - the perfect subtle nude pink. I often find that people think I have a lighter skin than I actually do-- and when people recommend pinky nudey shades, I always find that they sit really weird on my lips. The shades are almost always too light. But Spanish Pink does it perfect. It is a natural, natural, pink with a bit of nude-component to it.

I love that I can carry around this lipstick in my bag and apply it all throughout the day, although I have to say that the wear is very decent indeed! I only apply maybe two-three times throughout the whole day. It does not dry the lips. It isn't matte or shiny. It is just somewhere in the middle of the two.

The first Tom Ford lipstick I had bought was in the shade Violet Fatale a beautiful plum-cherry shade. I love it dearly, but I just don't find enough occasions to wear it! So unfortunately, that sits idly on my topshelf without much use. But I'm sure this shade will be the perfect one to keep reaching to!

A hefty price of fifty-some dollars, but when it's in your hands, it feels great x

"It"-Item Review⎪Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

The liquid liner that's been hot on the web... Kat Von D. Tattoo Liner. I'll cut to the chase and tell you what I love and don't love about this it-item.

What I love:

I love the felt tip. It is amazing, great for the people who are new to liquid liners and those who are pros at it. It is perfect for getting right to the lash line and right to the inner corners of the eyes. Also, it is perfect for drawing the perfect cat eye. It really reminds me of the Korean eyeliners that I always love. It has the same brush that is so easy to work with.
I love the long-wear. It doesn't flake or wear off at all. In that aspect, it is quite the tattoo.

What I don't really love:
It's not bold and intense. That can be both good and bad, but if you are one to look for a full-impact liquid liner, I don't think this does the best job.
Another thing that might be a problem is that it dries pretty quickly. I don't think it would last very long. I've been using it for weeks and already, it isn't as intense as it was the first week.

Would I repurchase it:
Probably would! Unless I find something that does the same job but is a bit more intense and long-lasting (in terms of... before it dries out!).

a short film⎪my ring collection

In all the wish-list collages I've made on this blog, I've mentioned my love for rings over and over again. Until I found this store called Catbird I never had a thing for rings. They were either too extravagant or too bulky. I always wondered why jewelry stores couldn't make dainty feminine thin jewelries. But then I found Catbird and became obsessed.

Another store I feature is an Etsy store called Comejew. They have really affordable jewelry that is really well made! I've had experiences buying cheap jewelry and being so disappointed with the way they were made but I promise you, Comejew is amazing! Click on the name to be sent to the store :)

Since I've been away from my Youtube channel for the longest time, I decided to finally get around to showing my ring collection through a video. It's a short video, and I made it a little different -- no voice, no subtitle... just featuring my rings and fingers :)

If you have specific questions, feel free to pop them down below and I'll get back to you!

Review⎪BURBERRY Sheer Foundation

This was an unexpected discovery. Burberry Sheer Foundation has been rolling around my room for some time. My sister left it in my room, and she hasn't worn it since she first bought it so I thought I'd give it a try. I wasn't feeling like wearing a thick foundation, but I did want a bit of coverage. I picked this foundation up, just for the fun of it, and smoothed it all over my face. It was my first time trying it, and instantly my gut reaction was, this is nice.

I've been wearing it everyday since I first tried it. My hands keep going to it, preferring it over all my other foundations. I thought it was about time that I shared it with you guys, telling you what I think about it!

First of all, the full name is "Sheer Foundation" Luminous Fluid Foundation in the shade Trench No. 04. It is the perfect match for me.

Like its name, this foundation is definitely a medium coverage foundation. You can build it up to heavier coverage, but even then, it would be nowhere near the Estee Lauder maximum coverage foundation. Though I love my heavy-duty coverage foundations, I feel this foundation does enough of the coverage and with the shade being just right for me, I am happy with it just being medium coverage. I have my concealers to do the extra job of covering a few spots.

What I love about this foundation is the texture. When you pump it, it look as though it'd be on the velvety-matte side. But once you spread it all over your face, you are left with the dewiest, healthiest glow. This is en par with my all-time fave Nars Sheer Glow foundation. The thing about this is that it is lasts longer than the Nars Sheer Glow, AND it does not break me out! That is a definite big plus.

I've worn this foundation all day, and not only does it last really well (with the primers I wear, of course) but because it keeps the glow on my face all day long and it doesn't break me out, I feel content and safe wearing this! Whereas other foundations sometimes makes my skin feel itchy and makeup feeling heavy, this feels so unbelievably velvety and light, at the same time, giving off that glow and dewiness!

It also smells nice. I'm not one to care for the smell, but this smells nice and even though I have uber sensitive skin, the fragrance doesn't seem to cause any trouble!

Finally, packaging. I mean, it is Burberry and if you need a trophy on your topshelf, this sleek packaging won't do you any harm for sure!

I honestly can't say enough good things about this: good coverage, beautiful texture (dewiness, glow), long-lasting, no breakouts, smells nice, and beautiful packaging.

Highly recommend! xx

Mini Sephora Haul⎪NARS, URBAN DECAY, KAT VON D

I caved. I went and got a Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in the shade "Custard", after trying to make "Vanilla" work. Though "Vanilla" does a great job in instant brightening, it sometimes feels a bit too much, like I've overdone my makeup. I prefer the more subtle, less Kim-K, highlighting. Hence, I went for custard which is a more yellow-tone shade. I love their concealer because they do not budge! Sometimes it almost feels waterproof in how it maintains its grip all throughout the day, in the summer too!

I'm out of liquid eyeliners. I've used up all the ones I had, and I've been missing the precise en pointe liner-look. I've tried the Kat Von D Tattoo eyeliner my sister had. Loved it, but I kept to what I had just to finish what I had first. Then, when time was due, I headed straight for this one. It reminds me of the Korean-type eyeliners-- precise, intense, and fine-brushed.

Then, I've been eyeing the Urban Decay's velvet 24/7 eyeliners for quite some time. I refrained because I have enough 24/7 eyeliners to finish up. Still, something about that intense velvety finish always drew me in. After refraining myself from buying them, I was passing by Sephora's infamous sample line, and voila! They had three of the exact shades I wanted to try from their velvet line!! Perversion, Sabbath, and Smoke. That dark navy blue though... seriously beautiful. If I had green or blue eyes, I'd wear this shade all the time!

I have to say, I've been using these products ever since I got them. I threw away the Sephora receipt because I knew I'd be keeping them all :)
