What I love about them you ask? There isn't a lot of shades, but I do hope they come out with more. The finish (after two coats) is super... super shiny. As if it was a gel nail polish. I know Sally Hansen came out with gel-type polishes, but oh my, they are horrible! But these from Revlon are amazing. They stay shiny for days on end. I want to compare them to the Butter London polishes because they are super shiny too and the wear goes for days too. The thing though is Revlon is that it is half the price of the Butter London ones!
I just love how long-lasting they are and how shiny they stay put until you take them off. I usually find that nail polishes start looking dull after a day or two, or immediately after you apply hand lotion. But this will last! I've tried other Revlon polishes, but other lines from them aren't that great. It is specifically this line of products that rock ;)

There was recently a huge hype of Laneige Intense Serum lipsticks, due to a South Korean celebrity who wore it on a hit-TV drama. She always came out with the glossiest kinds of lips, and the supposed secret was the Laneige "Serum Intense" lipstick. It gives all the gloss a lipgloss would give without using a lipgloss. No stickiness. And no extra money spent on having to layer a lipgloss on top of a lipstick. One lipstick does it all.

Laneige is a sister-brand to Amore Pacific which is hitting huge in the US markets. You've probably seen them in Sephora stores everywhere. Laneige is lesser-known, especially for makeup. This lipstick is actually the first makeup I've tried from their brand.
The Serum Intense is a serum injected hydrating lipstick that gives full pigmentation and amazing hydration. The product description says this is a LED lipstick that gives off a glow while making skin look clearer. Even when you dab the lipstick on, it gives you a lovely tint.
The shade that went pretty much out-of-stock everywhere was the shade "Neon Orange". The shade I settled for was "Flash Pink" (No. LR05). The shade is a pretty bright pink, that isn't too shocking to wear. If you are more tan, the color will probably look more vibrant. But color aside, I am in love with the formulation and the vibrancy of the color. I would love to try other shades if they were more accessible here in the US.

I love that it is super glossy, as though you wore lipgloss on top of a lipstick. It is rich in moisture and makes the lips look fuller because of the shine that the lipstick gives you. Shall I say, it gives dimension to the lips. And I love that unlike a lipgloss, this lipstick is water-infused, hydrating your lips while giving you vibrant pigmentation. I love how it's not just hydrating when you have it on, but also as it wears off, it doesn't crack your lips (I find Revlon lip butters to be a bit like that).

ALL ABOUT ORANGE LIPSTICKS
It's March. That gives me reason to wear orange. Because no one should wait until sizzling summer to spice up the lips and give it some hot oranges to wear. I've gone through my lipstick collection, and picked out my orange-toned lipsticks. Indulge your eyes as I show you the swatches of these beautiful shades. I've got all kinds of oranges: the yellow-orange, red-orange, pink-orange aka corals, nude-orange, hot-orange, muted-orange, pastel-orange, etc.,

*NOTE* MAC "Tart and Trendy" and "Saigon Summer" are so similar in the picture, that for a moment I couldn't distinguish them. Upon further observance of different pictures of the two lipsticks in different lightings, I have concluded that: "Tart and Trendy" has more pink than "Saigon Summer". Also, Saigon Summer is a creme sheen, whereas "Tart and Trendy" is a lustre finish. Therefore, "Saigon Summer" is thicker or let's say a bit more pigmented than lustre (lustre has a tad bit more glossier lighter finish)
So, that's it! How do you like my orange lipstick collection? I had a few others, but I didn't think they stood up to the beauty of these. You can find reviews of most of these products somewhere in my blog. I'll try to link it somewhere in this post.

Loving Drugstore #1
Can you tell I'm into numbering my blogposts? They seem organized that way. I've been numbering my collection videos, my routine videos, and who knows what else!
This is my first (no wait, second) Drugstore faves post. I hardly ever feature any drugstore products into any of my blogposts or favorites because honestly, I'm not a fan of drugstore products. No prejudice. Simply because I have failed to find some of them even worth $5. I had come to the conclusion that I'd rather save the $5 and buy one really good luxury item. I have had many trials and errors with drugstore products, so much that I almost gave up on spending anything at these places at all!
But recently, I have found that I am enjoying quite a few of them. Most (all) of the ones I'm going to be talking about are ones that have been frequently raved about in the beauty blog world. These are products that I have tested out for months before I could make my mind up about them.
Unlike most beauty bloggers, I don't like to hoard all the colors in a particular line of products. Again, just because it's cheap doesn't mean that when you reach the cash register, it won't come out to be a lot. I've seen $$$ being spent at CVS and let me just say, it really isn't hard to spend that much at drugstore. That being said, I don't like to hoard a lot of drugstore products. Not only do I find the packaging not particularly attractive for my collection, but I find it is again potentially a waste.
So whew, that being said, here are some of my favorites. [In no particular order]
1. Revlon Lip Butters
This is talked about. A lot. By almost everyone. Honestly, it took me awhile to figure out why. I bought this during the transition from fall to winter, when my lips were chappy. I found that this sunk into the creases of my lips and did not help repair the lips at all. I remember how people said that this was super moisturizing, but to me at the time, it felt like it only "felt" moisturizing but it didn't actually "moisturIZE". (I was a linguistics major so if you get my grammatical point there, yay!). Anyway, so I had put it off for awhile.
But recently, with the hot weather and the less chappy lips, I found that I actually really like this stuff. I still think that once your lips are chapped, this is a no-no. But, if you do have an already moisturized lips, this could help MAINTAIN that moisture.
I also liked the finish of it. It almost looks glossy, and so there's no need for a lip gloss (not that I even wear lip glosses). Also, if you consistently apply it throughout the day, then I found it does have lasting power and even tints the lips.
The shades I have are "Tutti Frutti" which is an orange shade. This is such a flattering color for the summer when you have a bronzing summer makeup on (should I do a makeup look post/video with this? tell me down below). I have been wearing this a lot.
The other shade is "Sweet Tart" which is a pretty pink shade. Not too blue-toned, not too pale, not too red, not too pastel. It's just... pink. And it's pretty, and so it just gives a natural neutral pink lips when applied. Again, the finish is quite lovely!
2. Maybelline Color Tattoo- "Bad to the Bronze"
Need I say more about this line of products? People go on and on about them. I only have one though and it's the shade Bad to the Bronze which, as the name suggests, is a bronze gold color. It is a really pigmented and creamy eyeshadow that you could hardly say is anything of "cheap". It feels luxurious and the color is stunning on the eyes. They have a whole line of colors, but I have yet to find enough temptation to get anything more than this.
I find I gravitate towards this on days when I am lazy with even an eyeliner and I just want some kind of definition on my eyes, quick and easy. This does the job, and it's great. Packaging is also glass so it feels pretty nice, I have to say.

2. Maybelline Under-Eye CONCEALERS
Okay, so I have recently fallen in love with under-eye concealers. They make all the difference in the world. And although I don't have any prominent dark circles, I do find that putting a concealer that is 2 shades lighter than your foundation can brighten up the face so much.
My all time favorite under-eye concealer has been the Burberry Sheer Glow concealer but so sadly, it's currently lost. So, I had to resort to the only other under-eye concealer I had, which was the Maybelline DreamLumi (Touch Higlighting Concealer) and though at first I kept comparing it to the long-lasting, dewy Burberry concealer, I grew to love this Maybelline one as well. I bought it in the lightest "highlighting" shade and I love it. It's definitely a salmon-pink color that will contrast any blue under the eye.
Then, recently I had to run to the drugstore to pick up a concealer because I was starting to look dull that day and I had no touch-ups in my bag. So, I decided to try something new and I picked up the Maybelline New Instant Age Rewind Eraser for Dark Circles. I instantly fell in love with this because I had applied it to an already flaking makeup and this did not stick to any flaked skin or makeup! It's seem more lighter and powdery than the DreamLumi concealer so it does not crease. I am definitely going to carry this in my bag! The shade is again in the lightest shade "fair". It doesn't have as much salmon shade as the other Maybelline concealer, but it does the job beautifully!
If I had to choose between the two to repurchase, I honestly don't know what I'd pick!

NOTD: Rose Gold Bumblebee
Vivanna Does Makeup recently featured these really elegant gold against black nail art. It looked really pretty in the picture, but it was even more tempting when she showed off her nail art in a video! So, without further ado, I went and got myself a black nail polish. After enjoying a black polish on its own, I took a recently purchased Deborah Lippman "Sugar Daddy" to work!
This "Sugar Daddy" polish is amazing, like most of Deborah Lippman's fancy shamcy polishes. It's gold with pink overtones so that depending on the angle, the color looks either gold, pink, or both... rose gold. This was in fact the closest I could get to a bright gold. I have one from Color club, but I'm not too fond of that polish so I went with a little twist and decided to apply rose gold instead of true gold.
Oh my, and a rose gold against a black is so flattering! It looks so elegant and although I confess that those top rose gold coats are not even near perfection, don't they still look kind of fancy?! I love it.

Have I been posting too many NOTD posts, especially for one who said doesn't care much about nails? Well, if there's one thing that changed in 2012, it's that! I love painting my nails now. I've started with muted colors, the ones you can't really detect... to finally getting to the end of the spectrum. BLACK. I realized that the bolder your nail polishes are, the more longer your fingers look. Also, the dark bold color contrasts with the skin and instead of making your hands look witch-like, it actually gives such an elegant contrast with the skin and nails.
Anyway, so I picked up this Revlon "Stiletto" number 270. It was for no apparent reason besides the fact that it was... well, black. I was looking for blacks from one or two different brands but they didn't have it, so I just picked this one up. Also, I have one other Revlon nail polish at home that I didn't buy and a color I absolutely detest... but I remember trying it and thinking that the content of their nail polishes were pretty good and easy to apply!
I went for this, and gave myself a little mani and oh it was just like I imagined! One coat does the job but to be safe with the first coat, maybe you can go for two. But one should be enough! It's much glossier than it seems in the pictures. I'm planning to do the black and gold nail art that Vivianna from vivianadoesmakeup showed on her blog. I think it'll look elegant and quite festive :)

Random Drugstore Haul
I never thought of buying makeup products at any drugstores. I've always thought, I'd save my money and buy the good quality luxury items. And, I always have. Until recently, I've been watching a lot of Youtube beauty bloggers and the good things they say about some of them have really gotten me to consider purchasing and trying out some of their products... without pressure!
One of the most talked about drugstore brand is Revlon. I hear it so much, people raving about their lipsticks and other products. Of course there is the cost of cheap packaging and not the same content as high-end products out there-- but the point is, considering the price, it's a good deal.
So, basically no one has to go out of their ways to purposely get something "cheap". But if you're on a budget, it really doesn't hurt to try!
On my usual stocking of cotton pads and wax, I decided to give some beauty/makeup products a go. Unlike Sephora or other beauty counters, you can't try the products at the store. It's more like you like what you see, you buy it. If you like it, that's good. If not, oh well... you missed out on five dollars.
I bought two lipsticks from Revlon. "Gentlemen prefer Pink" (no. 450) and "Softsilver Rose" (no. 430). I often find that when you are buying cheaper lipsticks, it's good to be safe. I feel buying neutral everyday colors will give you the most payback with these lipsticks. Sometimes going a bit exotic on the colors might prove the lack of quality these products may have.
That being said, these two colors were very pretty. The 450 is a really pretty satin-finish pick. The 430 is a bit more red but very wearable. It's just brightens the lips with a soft pink-red, and it also has a satin like finish. They are decently pigments and are quite creamy so it won't necessarily dry out your lips. I do find that after awhile, if you were to rub your lips a little, your skin might start peeling. So not entirely hydrating or good for the lips, but I think you get what you get.
Next, I bought a Rimmel lipsticks. Now, I never even heard of Rimmel until my obsession with UK beauty bloggers. Then I started thinking, hey maybe I'd try if I ever found one around me. Well, I did! Packaging was pretty, and I especially bought the one from the line that was collaborated with Kate Moss. Supposedly, it's her "shades", the ones that would best represent her.
Loved the cute packaging and the colors were decent. There was about five shades. I got the shade 08, and it's a mauve brown. It's actually browner than I thought it would be, and I'm not sure I could pull it off. But with the right kind of makeup, I think it'll be a chic lip color to wear. It does have a slightly model-esque feel to the mauve lipstick!
Then I went and picked up two Essie nail polishes. I prefer buying mine on Amazon as I find them so much cheaper. It's literally $3 online! But I wanted to try them out asap, and I've realized that the cost of buying it so cheap online is that sometimes, they can be sending the ones from the older edition where the applicator isn't so great as the ones that have come out now. So, I thought-- why not?
I got "Cute as a Button" and "Fiji". Fiji seems to be some kind of hype and I thought I'd give it a try. I am currently wearing "Neo Whimsical" which I find to give that really pretty bridal pink color. But it does have a purple pastel undertone, unlike the Fiji which is a white-based pink. It is quite pretty. "Cute as a Button" is a bright neon pink/purple. I'm horrible at describing this, but one of my favorite Youtubers, Tanya Burr, wore this color several times in her video. And I loved it so much and thought it was pretty cute!
I ran out of some top coats and I find the Sally Hansen dual action really works best and has the best applicator. So, I got that.
And other miscellaneous things! But I thought I'd share :)
